Fresh vs Frozen

Fresh fish starts degrading immediately after the fish is harvested. Bacterial growth over time causes the flavor and nutritional benefits to decrease, and eventually the fish spoils. Our fish is frozen almost immediately after it is harvested.

Frozen vs Superfrozen

Our super frozen fish (Sashimi Grade Tuna) is frozen to an ultra-low temperature of -60°C, to perfectly preserve the quality of the product without using preservatives. Once the fish is thawed, it is akin to enjoying a fish straight from the ocean.

We combine age-old preservation methods with modern technology and ingredients. We flash freeze our seafood upon capture and at the peak of freshness to protect and preserve the integrity of its cell structure. And we utilize tinning and canning, other time-honored techniques, to ensure premium freshness and flavor. Our recipes are crafted by chefs from Spain and Portugal –pioneers in canned and tinned foods, or conservas – with the finest, freshest ingredients.

We know and adhere to Mother Nature’s rules for harmoniously, responsibly farmed and wild-caught seafood. Because we work with the earth and value and honor all it provides, our seafood is sourced from specific regions of the world at the most appropriate times of year. Our reasons for harvesting Atlantic salmon from only the Atlantic Ocean in Norway or mahi mahi from Peru and Ecuador only during the winter months, for example, are biological, environmental and regulatory – always. We abide by the strict quotas in place to protect populations and habitats, while other companies lacking integrity, conscience and respect disregard ecological standards for a quick buck.
